Every person’s reaction to rape or sexual assault will be different.
Some of the symptoms you may experience or be experiencing are:
· Constant anxiety
· Shock and fear
· Feeling easily started or on edge
· Experiencing nightmares
· Difficulties with sleeping and/or eating
· Feelings of shame and self-blame
· Health related issues
Our ISVAs (Independent Sexual Violence Advisors) support male and female clients living in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland who have experienced rape and/or sexual assault and are 13+.
They are independent from the police and other statutory services so you do not need to be in touch with the police to speak to them.
The ISVA team have accredited training and are there to provide specialist support.
