Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council, Rutland County Council, and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicestershire are in the process of re-commissioning sexual and domestic violence and abuse services across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This involves looking at ways in which they can improve how services respond to perpetrators and support victims and their families.
The aim of this consultation is to seek views on proposed core services for victims, children, and those perpetrating domestic abuse. The focus is on easy access, advice and information, prevention, support, protection and recovery.
The Domestic and Sexual Violence Team are planning a number of group sessions for service users on the consultation. These will include specific sessions for young people, male victims and male perpetrators, as well as those for women only.
Anyone who is interested in attending/finding out more can email DSVTeam@leicester.gov.uk to register or call 0116 454 0254. Basic information is required to register – name, any accessibility/language needs etc.
